Dr. Brian Grosam graduated with a PhD in Acupuncture from the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SDUTCM) in 2009, where he studied under Dr. Fudong Wu (retired), the Chief of Acupuncture Studies at SDUTCM and a leading neurological acupuncture expert in China. His clinical professor, Dr. Qiuhua Shan (retired), was the Chief Doctor of the Acupuncture Department of the SDUTCM Teaching Hospital and a noted top auricular acupuncture expert in China. Alongside his studies in acupuncture, Dr. Grosam completed extensive clinical studies in gynecology, neurology and tuina.
Dr. Brian Grosam organized and completed his doctoral clinical research on “The Effects of Acupuncture in the Treatment of Perimenopausal Symptoms” in 2008 at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) in Roseville, Minnesota. His clinical results showed a dramatic reduction in the overall symptoms that accompany the perimenopausal stage in women’s lives.
Dr. Brian Grosam held a professor position at AAAOM from 2008-2013 where he taught several acupuncture classes, including Point Location, Meridians, TCM Neurology, TCM Pathology, Scalp Acupuncture and Auricular Acupuncture.
Dr. Brian Grosam is a member of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Minnesota, and a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Along with his wife Pam, he currently owns and operates Sun Acupuncture, a full-service acupuncture and Chinese medicine clinic located in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
