Australia (AACMA) | Healthy Seminars

Australia (AACMA)

AACMA members are expected to complete a minimum of 20 Continuing Professional Education (CPD) Credit Points each year.

CPD is due at the time of re-registration with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) on 30 November each year.

The AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) does not formally approve providers or courses.  They just state what is required to meet your 20 hours of CPD.

Our courses meet the AHPRA requirements.  We provide a certificate of completion in your account once you complete the course requirements which you can download and keep in a safe place for the AHPHRA.

They require 20 hours of CPD. Of this 20 CPD:

 - 5 CPD must be interactive. (this would be our live webinars which you must attend live so may not work for you unless you wake up and stay up your night as our live webinars are usually 1:30 am to 7 am your time.

- 4 CPD must be professional issues which we have -  https://healthyseminars.com/products/?f%5B0%5D=taxonomy_vocabulary_19%3A456&throbber=1

So I think you can easily complete 15 of your 20 hours through Healthy Seminars on-demand courses including the 4 CPD in professional issues.   If you want to stay up one night you can also earn 5 interactive CPD watching from your bed if you choose.  You do need to be awake as we take attendance hourly during the 5 hour live webinars.

Here are some details that may be helpful from https://www.chinesemedicineboard.gov.au/Registration-Standards.aspx

Evidence

You must maintain records of your CPD activity for five years.

If you are audited you may be required to provide your CPD portfolio or any other information the Board requires.

Please note, The Board completed a review of its professional indemnity insurance, continuing professional development, and recency of practice registration standards in 2019. The revised registration standards took effect on 1 December 2019 and are included in the table below. For more information about the revised standard please read the news item. https://www.chinesemedicineboard.gov.au/Registration-Standards.aspx

Continuing professional development (CPD)
The revised registration standard still requires you to do 20 hours of CPD each year and 4 of those hours must still relate to professional issues.

A new requirement is that five hours must be interactive CPD activities. Interactive means learning that involves the two-way flow of information and occurs with other practitioners, such as face-to-face or interactive online education.
