  2. Understand the similarities between the medical classics and contemporary neurological understanding of pain and analgesia.
  3. Learn to translate subjective pain symptoms to objective functional outcomes
  4. Be able to assess pain and design a treatment that is consistent with both the classics and peer-reviewed findings.

Outline

  • Part 1: Pain: Eastern & Western Perspective (4.5 hours)
  • Part 2: Neurological Mechanism of Acupuncture (60 minutes)
  • Part 3: A Radiculopathic Approach to Chronic Myofascial Pain (1.5 hours)
  • Part 4: Bi Impediment Syndrome from the NeiJing (2 hours)
  • Part 5: Integrative Assessment & Treatment (2.0 hours)
  • Part 6: Electro-Acupuncture Fundamentals (2 hours)
